Black and White

For about two years now I’ve been doing graphics for an Alberta Homeschooling magazine.  It’s been a nice experience.  The thing that is really tough though, is that the magazine is all black and white.  This limits the options I have greatly.  Here’s some of my favorite headers that have managed to become awesome despite their handicaps. . .

North Star

Just finished recently, NorthStar is a possible idea I had for branding the more website side of things in my work.  I’m not entirely sure weather I shall pursue that course of action or not.   Specifically, I would most likely name it “North Star Web Services”.   It’s a thought.

The main concept follows after the whole North Star Christmas story,  combining the common visualization of the star,  and the two letters ‘n’ and ’s’.   The logo itself was created in  Illustrator, with the text and the background radiant being added in Photoshop afterwards.

Tell me what you think!
